What can I do if I still have pain despite wearing the orthopedic insoles?
You should not experience discomfort from our insoles, however, it can occasionally happen. Especially with long-standing complaints that were not treated, it may sometimes take some time until an improvement occurs. We therefore advise you to start slowly with the wearing time of the orthopedic insoles, and gradually extend it. Give your body a little time to get used to the orthopedic insoles. We are of course always there for you to change the insoles if necessary. Often just a small adjustment is enough so that you can wear the orthopedic insoles all day long and enjoy your daily life. You do not need an appointment for this.
How long is my prescription valid?
Normally, a health insurance prescription is valid for up to 28 days at most health insurances. If you are not sure, please feel free to contact us.
How many orthopedic insoles does the health insurance pay per year
Most health insurances cover up to two insoles per calendar year. If you are privately insured, it is best to ask your insurance company how many pairs of insoles are covered.
How long do orthopedic insoles last?
The exact durability of an insole depends on your usage behavior. The particularly high-quality insoles last at least 6 months, so you are optimally provided with two insoles throughout the year.
What are proprioceptive insoles?
Proprioceptive / Sensomotoric insoles are thinner than conventional insoles. The big difference, however, are the pads, which go steeply upwards like mountains. With these types of insoles, we specifically target your body’s deep perception. With the help of the pads, also known as spots, muscles are specifically relaxed or weakened foot muscles are actively rebuilt.
Are proprioceptive insoles useful?
Proprioceptive insoles specifically target the muscles and tendons on your foot. As a result, the proprioception of your own body is stimulated, thereby activating the deep perception in your brain. This can relieve muscle tension and also correct muscle imbalances on your foot. Through proprioceptive insoles, we support your body in “self-healing.” We not only address your symptoms but also get to the root of the pain.
Are proprioceptive insoles covered by health insurance?
Most health insurances do not list proprioceptive insoles in their directory of aids and often justify a rejection based on the lack of studies on the effectiveness of proprioceptive insoles. However, exceptions are increasingly being made, which is why submitting a cost estimate is absolutely sensible. We are happy to do this work for you so that you do not have to deal with it. We would be happy to advise you during a visit to our medical supply store in Munich about your options for getting proprioceptive insoles paid for by health insurance
Can I also wear orthopedic insoles while playing sports?
Of course, you can also wear orthopedic insoles while playing sports. Especially in sports like jogging, soccer, or even golf, increased loads are placed on your foot. Here, the insoles provide optimal support, so that you are optimally supported even when your muscles become tired. That is why we also offer specially made insoles for sports with specifically developed pads and foams. Just ask us about it during your next visit, we will be happy to advise you!
