Among the most important orthopedic aids for relieving or activating muscles or muscle groups are sensorimotor or proprioceptive insoles. Although they are worn inside the shoe, they can have an effect on the entire postural apparatus and may therefore also be suitable for the treatment of back pain or knee problems. However, foot malpositions, complaints with the Achilles tendon, heel spurs and even spasticity or paralysis can also be partially or even completely remedied by wearing the sensorimotor insole. However, in order to reliably achieve this effect, insoles should always be created and fitted by a skilled professional. At Ergonomic Care in Munich, we draw on many years of experience with different insole concepts and work with you to find the right insoles to specifically and effectively help you with pain and discomfort.
The special feature of sensorimotor insoles is the elastic chambers or pressure pads incorporated into the sole. They exert pressure at targeted points when standing or walking, stimulating nerves and sensory cells. They also induce changes in the foot and leg muscles and tendons. This also has an effect on posture. It is important that sensorimotor insoles are always specifically adapted to the existing complaints or malpositions, otherwise they achieve no effect or can even worsen complaints. Custom-fit insoles should therefore always be individually created by a specialist. In our specialist workshop in Munich, we make custom insoles and will be happy to advise you on the costs and benefits of orthopedic insoles.
